Silani is the calmer of the twins. His temper burns hot, but rarely shows itself. When it does, however, everyone better beware. When Silani's voice turns icy, and his eyes are cold with fury, that's the moment when anyone intelligent should know to run.
He can be very patient when he wants to be, but it's all external calm; inside he's tapping his feet with irritation over being made to wait. This only applies when it's either important that he holds his dignity or it's an expected wait, however; when dealing with a servant, his father or an interrogation. If it's unexpected, he can be just as difficult to deal with as Salim.
He likes fighting, but he's not as violent as Salim. He prefers to get his fights over with quickly and flashily, and while he respects strength, he doesn't really care if his opponents are weak. He doesn't like it, but he doesn't feel anything towards it at all.
Silani's dreams are deep as the sea. When he sleeps, his dreams are so intensely vivid that he often can't tell which is the real reality for a few moments when he awakens. He's always been slow to wake up fully, and people who wake him to tell him things had better be willing to tell him it a few times before it sinks in. His dreams have taken a twisted turn since the loss of his family, throwing him into the life they lost, with the end result that every awakening is painful.
Silani's voice is generally quiet but clear and audible. He has a talent for making his words sound commanding and firm even without having to yell, but if people are talking over him, he has a secret weapon. A booming yell that startles everyone who hears it just by how unexpected it is. He finds it undignified to use, however, and will only do it in an emergency.
His weapon is a an ornate curved sword given to him by his father. The blade is golden but the hilt is black and silver, with red tassels at the end. He's a close range fighter; he's capable with ranged fighting but not as good at his brother when it comes to long-range or medium-range fights... especially since his sword doesn't have the reach.
